How to reach us

Call for anything time-sensitive. Use the form if it is easier, and tell us the address and what the surfaces are doing so the first reply is useful rather than a request for more information.

If you are comparing contractors, the most useful thing you can send is a photograph of whatever is failing: the crack, the peeling area, the stain, the chalking wall. It tells us more in one image than a paragraph of description, and it means the walk-through starts from a real diagnosis rather than a blank sheet.

The site walk is where the scope gets settled, which is why a photograph of what is failing shortens the whole exchange.

What happens after you get in touch

Four steps, and none of them involves a salesperson sitting in your kitchen for two hours.

  1. We reply the same business day

Usually with a couple of questions: the address, roughly what needs painting, and whether anything is actively failing. That is enough to work out who should come out and how long the visit needs.

  2. A walk-through, usually within a few days

We look at the substrate, the existing coating, the failure pattern and the access. On a commercial or association property that becomes a measured takeoff rather than a look round.

  3. A written scope

Naming the preparation, the primer, the finish system, the coat count and what is excluded. On commercial work it also covers phasing, access requirements and any night or weekend scheduling the property needs.

  4. Scheduling

Agreed against your dates rather than ours where the calendar allows. Exterior work concentrates between spring and autumn here, so the earlier a summer exterior is booked the more of the good window you get.

The walk-through is diagnosis, not a sales visit. What we find in it is what ends up in the estimate.

Frequently asked questions about getting in touch

Can I send a text message instead of calling?

No, the line takes calls only and does not receive text messages, so anything sent that way will not reach us. Use the phone, the form or email and it will be answered the same business day.

Is the estimate really free, and is there any obligation?

Yes and no, in that order. The walk-through and the written estimate cost nothing and carry no obligation. We would rather spend the visit telling you honestly what the property needs, including if that is less work than you expected, than talk you into a scope you did not come looking for.

Do you need me to be there for the walk-through?

For an interior job, yes, since decisions about rooms, colours and sequencing are much easier in person. For an exterior-only job we can walk the property without you and follow up with the scope, provided we have access to all four elevations and to any gated areas.

How far ahead should I book exterior work?

Further than most people expect. The reliable exterior window here runs from spring through autumn, and it fills. Winter work is possible but the cool, damp mornings and the concentrated rainfall between December and March narrow the usable day considerably.

I manage a property and need a formal bid. What do you need from me?

The address, the unit or building count, the scope as you understand it, your timeline, and any documents that exist: drawings, a paint specification, a reserve study or a management standard. We bid to your documents where they exist so your comparison is like for like.

Do you charge for a second visit or a revised scope?

No. Scopes change, particularly once a colour decision or a budget decision moves, and revising a proposal is part of the job rather than a billable event. What we will do is tell you plainly when a change materially affects the price or the schedule.

What if my property is outside the ten listed communities?

Call and ask. Work reaches Highland Park, Monrovia, Duarte and Rosemead regularly, and Glendale case by case. We would rather give you a straight yes or no about your address than have you assume you are out of range.
